CLESSTE VINTAGE DYED SELVEDGE DENIM CITY MILITARY HALF PANTS
This time, we collaborated with SHIOTA, one of Okayama's most traditional sewing factories, amidst the fierce competition of denim factories. They created denim that combines expert sewing techniques.
These jeans are based on the overpants originally designed to be worn over the M-51 cargo pants officially adopted in 1951, but have been updated for a more modern look, with the cut-off below the knee. The side cargo pockets have also been redesigned for a more modern look. The waist has an elastic waistband and drawcord.
These jeans are made in Japan in the Bitchu/Bingo region of Okayama Prefecture, a world-renowned denim production area. The warp threads are indigo rope dyed, which does not penetrate all the way to the center, allowing the denim's unique texture to develop over time.
The 10.5oz weave makes them suitable for year-round wear.
Once the denim is woven, it is mercerized in the final process to enhance its luster.
The mercerization process and extra-long staple cotton are a perfect match, resulting in denim that is smooth, supple, and shiny.
Supima yarn is also highly durable.
This plump selvedge denim is woven on a shuttle loom with just the right amount of uneven yarn.
